The reception staff are very friendly! Kelly and the other receptionists do a great job, and I appreciate that even in low season they offered activities to do. The downside is that in low season there wasn’t much atmosphere in the hostel and it was hard to socialize with others.

The lights went out and they had no backup generator. It was a real hassle.

From day one, the power was out for hours. I know Palomino has power issues, but other places fixed it in minutes; here it took hours, and the rooms were scorching hot. WiFi never worked. On the first night I found cockroaches in the bed. They moved me to another room, but the staff were unhelpful and didn’t fix anything. Overall, a disappointing stay.
