“Reposant”
I liked everything, truly. The rustic setting in nature and the super friendly staff were just top.
“War OK. Aber nicht nochmal. Zu teuer”
It was quiet, close to the beach, and child‑free. The downside was the stones on the beach.
“Paradisiaque”
A very beautiful refined place, small buildings in a lovely, well‑maintained garden with swing beds along a river. Pool, bar, breakfast and dinner right on the sand. Excellent and generous breakfast buffet. Large room and pretty bathroom.
The food was tasty, the facility was quiet, and the reception staff were very attentive. However, hygiene was almost zero, the bed shifted with every small movement and was uncomfortable, and at night the air conditioning made an excessively loud noise.
“Zeer teleurstellend en vies”
Honestly, I don't know where to start. When we entered our room we saw a huge amount of live and dead flies and mosquitoes in both the bedroom and the bathroom, clearly indicating the room hadn't been cleaned properly. We reported this to the hotel, and they told us someone would come to spray the room. About an hour later, a person did spray the entire room. To mask the spray's smell, they also used toilet spray. The room still smelled awful after the treatment, and there were still dead insects everywhere in both rooms. I wasn't talking about just a few mosquitoes; there were so many that they were everywhere. It was no longer safe or pleasant for us to stay there, so I told them and luckily we were moved to another room that evening. That room also had dead insects and was clearly in need of renovation, making the situation unacceptable. Additionally, the paths around the hotel were littered with chicken droppings in several spots. I understand the hotel has an ecological character and animals can be part of that, but in our opinion this should not compromise the overall hygiene and cleanliness of the hotel. The beach also disappointed us heavily; there were a lot of stones, making it almost impossible to walk into the sea barefoot. We had to buy swimming shoes because we still wanted to swim in the sea. When we went to the sea with our new shoes, there were no sunbeds left. At the same time, we saw that about seven sunbeds were unoccupied but marked with “reserved” boards. Because of this, we could not use a sunbed even though there were actually available ones.
