The host Ms. Grondin was very welcoming and accommodating, even making breakfast at 5AM before my volcano trip! The location is ideal for the volcano and very relaxing (the street is nearby, but I didn't find it a problem). Be aware it's at 1600m elevation, so quite cold compared to the seaside towns of the island, but I got two very well functioning heaters and daily fresh herb tea to get warm (I visited in winter).

The best accommodation during our stay in Reunion. Very kind host, comfortable apartment and excellent breakfast. Great location to visit volcano.

After a long, wet trek we were greeted very kindly; the host even offered to wash and tumble‑dry our laundry so everything would be dry. The beds with their warm blankets were superb, dinner was delicious and even came with a nice apéritif, and breakfast featured tasty fruit.
