“Great location in Nozaxa”
Great location. I wasn’t a fan of the floor beds, and a chair in the room would have been useful.

The location was perfect. The room was very large. The hosts were really friendly and available. It’s expensive for a room with a shared bathroom and kitchen (but I guess that’s the price to pay for staying next to a ski resort).

The location is great, the staff are enthusiastic, and it’s clean.

We loved our 5‑night stay here. The rooms mix traditional style with modern comforts (Tanami mats with futon mattresses). The mattress is firm but comfy. We liked the duvet/duana and pillow, and the little onsen baskets they give for the surrounding onsens. The communal areas are always clean and tidy. We enjoyed hanging out in the lounge and kitchen, meeting other families and travelers. The highlight was the staff. We really appreciated David and Nancy’s welcoming warmth and helpful tips, which made our stay so nice. Mario and his partner (I didn’t catch her name) were also kind and accommodating. A special shout‑out to Mario for giving me a lift to the clinic where I had to meet my husband and daughter for an emergency, which took a lot of stress out of that day! The location was great for us. A chair lift is just steps up the road to ski across toward the main gondolas and lifts, and we had our favorite breakfast spot—Akari Swiss Bakehouse. Plus a local onsen is just a 2‑minute walk away. We would love to come back again in the future. Perhaps a notice at the front desk when full‑house cleaning times were happening would let guests plan to stay out of the common areas and kitchen.

The location was why I chose to stay there. The shared bathroom and toilets were a drawback. The room heating was very dry, but a wet towel in front of the heater helped.
