The owner was lovely and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very small, and the hot water took a while to heat up but eventually got warm enough for a decent shower. Breakfast was okay, but for the price of the room, my partner and I stayed in the breakfast area and the bathroom could have been much better.

The hostess was so lovely! The area around Burwood is vibrant. The bathroom was not good, and I expected more than just toast and Vegemite/jam for breakfast—though cereal was also available. A microwave was provided, but there was no crockery or cutlery. A fire system is being installed, which would have been good to know about before booking.

The spot was spot on – right next to the train station and the room was spotless. Parking was a bit hit‑and‑miss; you can find street spots nearby, but you’ll have to move your car in the morning once the paid hours start.
