The stilt houses are truly evocative, but we arrived and left in the dark, so we barely got to enjoy the scenery. The road to get there is in poor condition and needs a proper path; I’d recommend fixing it.

The staff were outstanding, but the extra night we added cost more than it did online.

The view of Mt. Kilimanjaro was spectacular, especially when the morning sun hit the peak, and the surrounding garden was well kept and serene. The room offered little luggage space, and the shower slope caused water to pool because the drain was misaligned, so I had to keep sweeping it out.

I read in a few reviews that the grounds had looked neglected, but it seemed they took that feedback seriously, as you could see they were actively working on the area. New plants and atmospheric lighting were added along the walking paths. Our “hut” appeared freshly painted, because you could still smell the paint. They’re renovating the grounds to restore its value. We felt very welcome and were greeted kindly at every turn. We stayed in a hut, exactly as shown in the photos. The grounds themselves turned out to be more beautiful than the pictures, much cozier! The terrace by the house was also very nice. A boiler immediately provided hot water. The bathroom was somewhat impractical in layout and could have been cleaned more thoroughly. When you shower, the entire bathroom floods quickly, making the toilet and sink wet. It stays wet for a long time afterward, which makes it hard to use the sink or toilet after showering.

The cabins were fantastic! If you’re after a quiet spot surrounded by nature, this is the ideal choice. The camp is run by the community, and all profits go toward supporting and developing the local Maasai community, which makes your stay even more meaningful. It offers a truly authentic, non‑touristic Maasai experience, with the community living right next to the camp. The cabins are simple but have everything you need: comfortable beds, Wi‑Fi, hot water, clean towels and bed linen. The food was excellent, with fresh ingredients, generous portions, and even cold beer. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We booked two safaris through the camp—one in the morning and one in the evening—and both were absolutely amazing. We saw many animals, including lions and even a cheetah hunting a gazelle. One night, while relaxing on the veranda of our cabin, we even saw giraffes walking nearby. If you contact the camp in advance, they can also give you the phone number of a nearby taxi driver, which was very helpful. We stayed for three nights and wished we had stayed one more to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a real connection with nature and Maasai culture.
