“Lovely”

Breakfast was great, the staff were very friendly, and I loved the sauna and pools. However, it took 45 minutes to get into the room, which seemed unusually long; I saw other guests waiting too.

“An absolutely stunning hotel – 10/10 and beyond!”

What an incredible experience! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the staff are exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The food, both at breakfast and lunch, was outstanding – incredibly delicious, with a fantastic variety of options to choose from. The rooms are of an exceptionally high standard – beautifully designed, spotless, very spacious, and extremely comfortable. The absolute highlight of our stay was the breathtaking wellness and spa area! Everything is beautifully designed, featuring a wonderful heated outdoor pool, saunas, a relaxing lounge area, a wellness bar, and a well‑equipped fitness center. It truly exceeded all our expectations! Another fantastic bonus was the bicycle rental. We took advantage of it and enjoyed a lovely bike ride all the way to the center of Salzburg. A huge compliment to the entire team! This hotel deserves a 10+ rating without a doubt! We would absolutely love to return and highly recommend it to everyone! The only downside was that we could not stay longer.

“Gut eingerichtet, freundliches Personal, aber nicht mein Hotel für Wellness”

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large and well equipped. The breakfast buffet was very nice and balanced, the two dinners at Gerl were excellent, and the bar drinks were also liked. The traffic on the 80th highway right next to the hotel is enormous and loud. That bothered me less at night than in the wellness area, where the heavy bass‑driven continuous music and the street noise disturbed my personal sense of quiet. That does not fit with wellness and relaxation for me. I did not like the style of the rooms – that is a very personal opinion. Everything is very dark, even in the sauna all the loungers are almost black‑stained. The rooms, the bar, the restaurant, the lounge areas are all very dark. I also don’t understand the sand spread around the pool loungers; it gets everywhere. If I want sand, I go to the beach, not to the third floor of a hotel. Gerl seems to target couples 25‑35, which was obvious on the weekend. I was there with my 19‑year‑old daughter and somehow the wrong guest; it was simply a bad decision for us.
