The hotel sits right in the heart of Portoroz, its architecture a real treat, and the garden is impeccably maintained. My room featured two tiny balconies that offered a lovely view of both the garden and the sea. The only downside was that part of the spa felt a little outdated.

Everything about this hotel is beautiful. Just the feeling of staying in a building steeped in history feels like a privilege. The staff are very friendly, the service is excellent, the breakfast is very good, and the beach is close by. On the downside, the spa area and pools definitely need renovation, and the terraces could use some nicer furnishings. Since the hotel is pet‑friendly, a few loungers on the beach where dogs would be allowed would be nice.
