The staff were friendly, everything was clean and there was everything we needed. We were there for a wedding nearby.

We had booked and paid, and five minutes later we got an email that the room had been overbooked. Very disappointing, but we got a refund immediately and booked another hotel.

We booked a comfort room but ended up with a 85 m² apartment in the basement, freshly furnished, spotless, and fully equipped with a kitchenette, appliances, dishes, a living area with flat‑screen TV, two bedrooms, a large bathroom/toilet, a storage room with a washing machine, a vacuum, and a balcony. Breakfast was decent, and Mr Grolik was very friendly. The spa, massage, sauna and wellness facilities were available but we didn’t use them. Free parking is right outside the hotel, the location is quiet in the village, shops are 2–5 km away, and it’s close to the Czech border; we recommend staying in the transition area of Furth im Wald. We’ll gladly return and recommend the place. The Wi‑Fi and mobile reception are a bit weak; a repeater or two might help.
