How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.

The accommodation was in a quiet spot, yet still quite close to the city center and bus stops, so getting anywhere was easy. The linens and blanket were pleasant. I had a bit of trouble finding it; I didn’t notice the sign at the gate and had to ask a local for help, though maybe I just missed it. Also, the promised mountain view was blocked by a neighbor’s unfinished building, which isn’t the owner’s fault but was unpleasant. From the living room, a few steps away from the room, the view was nice.

“Excellent location, lovely homestay.”

Excellent location, a short walk into the town center. The gentleman who runs the place was very helpful and quick to respond to any need or question. The area is quiet and we slept well. It may have been a misunderstanding, but the bathroom is not attached; instead, you go a few steps through a kitchen area. Still, it felt very private and wasn’t a space the family used. Also, the listing says there’s a washing machine, but when we checked in we were told it wasn’t working. After several days of traveling, we were really hoping to wash some clothes, so that was disappointing. Still, the place was very clean and comfortable. We would stay again and wish the family the best.

“Lovely place with a great owner!”

The location is great, just a few minutes from the bus station. The room was really nice and clean. The owner is an absolute gem who helped us book tuk‑tuks, gave recommendations, and did everything he could. I highly recommend the breakfast if you stay; it’s one of our favorite meals after two weeks in Sri Lanka. I personally found the bed a little too hard, but that’s just me.

A clean and spacious room/home. Good location in Hatton. The owner was super friendly and caring. He helped me plan my trip to Adam’s Peak and my next destination. He also recommended a delicious restaurant nearby run by a lovely family—I ate there every day. Thank you for your incredible hospitality! The layout was a bit odd and there was only one outlet in the room, but that didn’t bother me.

Near the bus station and the city center, air conditioning and breakfast. The shower in the bathroom was not very comfortable.
