The staff were generally good, the area is great—this is our third stay—and the pond is a nice feature. A 75‑year‑old desk clerk was especially appreciated and made us feel welcome; several others were also great and lived up to the little saying on the desk card. However, the dog ruined it for us. The large dog next to us was unattended most of the day, howling for 20–30 minutes then sleeping for 15, repeating that cycle for hours. It was anxious, I’m sure, but unacceptable. The staff didn’t have a phone number for the owner, so it became our problem, not the clerk’s.

Breakfast was okay and the location suited my purpose, but the reception staff lacked training and had a bad attitude. The management staff were nowhere to be found and didn’t return calls.

The location was great and quiet with little noise, but the room was okay; the beds weren’t very comfortable and the tub had a stain. After showering I realized the water didn’t drain well while it was running. $20 for breakfast is pretty high, so I didn’t eat there and could go to a nicer restaurant for cheaper. Also the toilets were low.
