The staff here were absolutely fantastic - they were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay special.
The location of this place is unbeatable - it's a stone's throw from Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City, and Garden of the Gods.
The views of Garden of the Gods from the lodge were just incredible.
Our room was clean and comfortable, and the hot waffles for breakfast were a nice touch.

“Home away from home”
The place was quiet and cozy, with a home‑like vibe; the bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and ready. I loved the bike theme, the staff were friendly, and the music at night added to the atmosphere. The location was convenient to all areas. I wanted to stay longer, but it was fully booked. The breakfast lobby area was expanded, though the space feels tight; perhaps another waffle iron would help.
“War ein schöner Aufenthalt.”
Breakfast was good, especially starting at 07:00 am. In the evening it got pretty loud; at 23:00 pm the kids were still riding their bicycles around and making noise. I appreciate that the kids were having fun, but it was quite noisy.
“the bed wa comfortable, location good for our activities, loved the homeyness of the office/bar”
I liked the decor, the pool, and the historic feel of the place.
“We had fun at the Buffalo Lodge and enjoyed Manitou Springs.”
We arrived on a Friday night just in time for live music and a fantastic food truck. We ordered drinks from the bar/dining area inside the main building, and the music was great while the food was excellent. A slight musty smell lingered in our suite, but it didn’t bother us much. We got a great room and it was close to everything.
“Disappointing stay. Need’s updates and a deep clean”
The location is excellent and the staff are friendly. However, the floors felt dirty, the entire room was dirty, the coffee pot in the room was broken and unusable, and the waffle maker was down—those were the only items offered for breakfast. The shower was stained, the cold water faucet in the bathroom sink didn’t work, and the overall feel was run down. The refrigerator was leaking and didn’t keep our food cold, and the A/C unit had a hose running out the window.
