The hotel sits among private houses on a quiet road, so there was no noise. Yet the “excellent” rating is far too high. The building is very old and needs renovation—at least the beds need replacing; the spring mattress was the worst we’ve ever encountered, making sleep practically impossible. Even though the hotel has a no‑smoking policy with signs at every door, guests from every room would go into the shared courtyard to smoke almost all day, not just cigarettes but marijuana as well. There are also many stray cats that get fed at the hotel; I have no issue with animals—I own a dog myself—but their presence made my dog’s stay very stressful.

Jennifer’s customer service was excellent and she was very helpful in trying to make any accommodations we needed. There is a lingering strong odor of cigarettes in any of the rooms I have stayed in there, but other than that they are friendly and the staff is great and we have no complaints.

Great location, but the noise from the street was a bit of a letdown. The hotel's calm atmosphere was a nice touch, though. It's a shame the noise was so loud, but the location was definitely a plus.
