The spot was convenient, yet the room didn’t match the photo, the bathroom was awful with a window propped open by a toilet roll, it was very noisy, and there was no soundproofing—apparently the bedroom door was plywood—so it felt like people were in the room with me from above and other rooms on my floor; it seemed the cleaning team was trying, but the hotel was just passable and definitely not worth the money paid.

The building’s location was solid, but the room was in the basement, lacked air conditioning, felt cramped, and you could hear people walking in the room above at 3 am; the double bed’s mattress had holes.

Close to Bayswater underground station, a two‑minute walk at most. We were three adults staying together as a family group, and this was one of the few hotels that would allow three adults in a room—one single and one double bed. The accommodation was very basic: the bed was really hard and the pillows were flat as pancakes; the bathroom was tiny and basic; there were no bedside lamps so I had to cross the room in the dark with a pillar right in the middle (Room 12); the flushing toilets from rooms above were so loud that it felt like we were about to get flooded every time someone used the loo; there was no soundproofing at all, and I could hear absolutely everything from outside the room—so overall, not a great night’s sleep! It wasn’t exactly cheap at over £200 for the night, so I expected more comfort.

Almost everything was bad. Room 106 was a cramped space where two people couldn’t fit; there was no button to turn off the central light, and if you removed the card the room stayed dark; there was no wardrobe, and the few hooks didn’t allow hanging clothes; the photos on your site are misleading, and it’s a scandal that Booking offers this place—calling it a hotel is an insult to dignity.

The location was great, right near Kensington Park and the palace, on a quiet street with a neighboring street full of nice restaurants, but the view from the window was pretty shabby.
