“Comfortabel tussen Leersum en Veenendaal; Kasteel Amerongen is een aanrader, met veel enthousiaste vrijwilligers”
The hygiene and completeness of the kitchen inventory were great, but the phone number was hard to find.

The house is very beautiful, welcoming, and has a classic Dutch aesthetic; the attic room is comfortable and well cared for, with a small, well-equipped kitchen and original touches like floor lights that turn on when you walk by. The bathroom is lovely and impeccably clean. It’s also great for cyclists, with secure indoor bike storage. The breakfast is excellent, customizable to preferences, and served in a private niche inside the room at the scheduled time. Overall, a truly pleasant stay and highly recommended!

The weather outside was scorching at 34 °C, but the air‑conditioning was already on, so the room stayed delightfully cool. We even had the option to park our 70+ km bike rides inside the hallway. What a thoughtful touch!
