When we reached the parking lot, Ashraf greeted us and drove us to the camp in his car. The room was clean and the camp’s location was excellent. The food was delicious, and I’d definitely recommend this place – it’s wonderful.

The place had a great atmosphere and we were taken by jeep. The staff were very courteous. Dinner cooked over sand was amazing, and they offered several tours. We booked two: 1) tea with Bedouins under the starry sky – it was cool to ride the jeep in the dark, sit beneath the stars, drink Bedouin tea, and try camel milk. The downside was one Bedouin kept pouring tea and chatting with the drivers while we just sat for 2–3 hours. 2) a 2‑hour desert tour – it was great to drive around spots where movies were filmed, and as a bonus we were taken to two bridges. The drawback was that they promised we’d ride a board on sand in the desert (which is why we chose this tour), but that never happened. There were four stops, all at tents selling Bedouin goods. If you just want to sleep there, it’s not for you, because if you don’t buy tours, the camp will charge you 40 dinars for the ride back to your car or stop, and they only tell you about it once you’re already there.

We had a fantastic night: the food was tasty, the rooms were spotless, Ashraf was friendly, and the rest of the staff were great too. It was a wonderful evening, and I’ll definitely return.
