It was cheap, but it’s strange: they escort you to a desk and insist you see the room, a very odd man tells you how to use the elevator as if you’re a fool in his language, there’s no air conditioning, the sheets barely cover the bed, it’s super old, and it feels like a residence where everyone keeps their door open. Everything is weird.

The staff were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to help, which made the stay pleasant. Unfortunately the room wasn’t as spotless as I’d hoped—there were some dust spots, the pillows were unusually thin and the sheets didn’t reach the floor. Overall, the warm service helped offset the minor cleanliness issues.
