“**Nightmare Experience - Avoid at All Costs!**”
The place is beautiful and the locals were very helpful. However, our stay at Turtle Cove was a complete nightmare. The owners were incredibly rude and the directions to the resort were confusing at best. The resort is only reachable by a 30‑minute boat trip, and when we arrived we were greeted by two locals who, despite their limited English, genuinely worried about our arrival. They urgently asked us to contact the owner, pointing out that there was no signal or Wi‑Fi. It quickly became clear why: there was no food, no water, and no owner to welcome us. Worse still, our room was infested with mold, posing a serious health risk. The room reeked of mold and there were no sheets. Fortunately, one of the locals left the island on a Bangka to get a network connection and called the boat captain to pick us up. Without their help we would have been stranded without essentials and no way to communicate because of the lack of signal. The advertised services were far from what we experienced, making the whole visit misleading and unacceptable. I hope the owner acknowledges the health hazards and at least warns people. Stay far away from Turtle Cove! The conditions are appalling and the health risks are not worth the visit.
