“My experience to st aubyns arms was good 😊”
What stood out most was how clean and brand‑new the toilets looked. The only downside was the breakfast delivered to bed.

This is a classic village pub that rents rooms; the room was just the right size—not too small nor too big—and had an en‑suite bathroom with a large shower. Everything was clean and well kept, as expected. The staff were nice and helpful, and I appreciated the free snack/breakfast corner in the hallway as a nice little treat. The parking lot was spacious, so we had no trouble finding a spot even on a Saturday. I would improve two things: the blackout curtains are mounted in a way that lets in a lot of light, so a more effective system or repositioning the curtain rod would help, and I’d add a light‑filter curtain for privacy because the window faced a busy street and a row of houses; a white curtain that could be closed would have let me change in peace.

The staff alone made the overnight stay delightful. After a long night, they kept the bar open longer than necessary so we could relax and enjoy. We had tasty tikka masala and beer. Their slot machines and jukebox add charm, especially after a pint or two. Rooms were clean, the bathroom was spacious, and check‑in and check‑out were smooth. I’ll stay here again.

It’s an old inn that feels like the cozy heart of a small village, similar to many places in South England. You can eat well, and there’s a garden behind where you can sit.

The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean. A very minor issue: it seemed the keys had been swapped, so we didn’t get the correct one for the outer door, but the staff responded quickly. Also, a leaky shower and sinks left the bathroom floor very wet.
