The location was very good; the harbor and the city centre were easily reachable on foot. The service felt unfriendly and not very helpful, and the room had a slightly stale smell from the old carpets.

The bed was comfy and the location was amazing. We didn’t meet any staff because we arrived later than planned; no one was there in the morning. All we had to do was drop our keys in the mailbox, which seems to be the standard for stays these days.

The location was good, but the room was very cramped; adding hooks on the wall and a tall side table with shelves would have made it easier to store things. The shared bathroom is a combined shower and toilet, so when someone is showering there is no other toilet available in the building. All the tables in the lounge were set for breakfast all the time, leaving no space to eat food we’d brought in despite the strict request not to eat in our room. It was also hard to dry our wet clothes (rain is very likely in this region) because there were no hooks or a closet.

The place is in a great spot—just a quick walk to town. The bed was decent, though a bit soft in the middle, but we still got some sleep. The odor, however, was terrible, like someone was sick; the bathroom smelled like sickness and poo, lingering into the morning. Our room had a tiny sink, and the water tasted sour. My stepdaughter used her towel, and when we got back the awful smell stuck to it. The front room was noisy, and with the heating on and the windows open, we couldn’t turn it off because the tops were missing from both sides. We only slept there because of the smell, unfortunately.
