It was quiet, but an email with the PIN ended up in my spam folder because of a mistake on their side, so I missed it; when I called that day the owner came over and helped me out. The shower hose leaked and was hard to use, the bath towel felt old, and the room overall had a musty smell.

The unit was cozy, spotless, and perfect for our two days in Toba; the bedding was Japanese style, so you’d be sleeping on the floor. However, checking in was problematic because we didn’t have phone access abroad and weren’t told until after making a non‑refundable booking that check‑in would be via SMS on a phone; luckily the owner’s wife happened to see us and help out.

The fridge had bottled water and there was some parking space, but the place was extremely dirty, with long hair in the bath, awful towels, dead bugs, a super cold room, and a strong bleach smell.

You could watch YouTube and Netflix, the toilet and bath were separate, the room was spacious, and there was a microwave. The location was bad because it sat on a steep hill, making it hard to carry a suitcase up, the sink and washbasin didn’t provide hot water, and there were no pajamas.

It had a calm atmosphere that was very good, but the convenience store was far—maybe a laughable distance—and a few more amenities would have been nice.
