The hotel itself is comfortable, looks nice and works well, so we liked the rooms. The only real hassle was having to stand around the front desk for hours on a Sunday just to get checked in. Also, the restaurant meals were pretty disappointing.

The location can’t be beat and the building, dating back to before 1900, is both beautiful and nicely updated; the staff were courteous and the rooms felt spacious. Unfortunately, the food options were almost non‑existent – the “buffet” breakfast was just a few items that weren’t even restocked, and the room‑service menu was limited to packaged snacks.

Nestled on a very quiet street, the hotel offers an excellent view of the city and harbor, plus a tasty breakfast and beautiful gardens to stroll through. Everything felt well‑kept and the setting was just right for a relaxed stay.

The breakfast room has a lovely view that makes the morning coffee feel special, but the bathroom shower was under‑performing and left a lot to be desired.
