“Highly recommend”
We spent our first few days in Central Asia here, and the quietness helped with our jet lag; the location was spot‑on.
“The place is nothing less than perfect but if your legs don't work fine for any reason, best of luck”
The cleanliness was good, but the common area felt too crowded because so many people stayed there, so not many could sit at once. There was no spot to put on or take off shoes, making it a hassle every time someone had to wear footwear.
“High price amongst hostel. Low in hospitality”
I got to the hostel at 11 am, three hours before check‑in, feeling unwell and asking for early check‑in so I could rest. The reception said the bed was ready but I’d have to pay 50 % more to do so. Also, the guests were drunk, fought, and broke the toilet facilities. The location is off‑center, and the facilities aren’t as shown.
The spot was great, the service was good, the place was clean and the environment was nice; the owner and staff were especially friendly, making it the most memorable experience of my trip to Almaty, Kazakhstan, and I’ll definitely return when I have a holiday. Julia was super nice, totally awesome.
