There were singers every evening, and after dinner I could sit back, relax, and enjoy the live music. The staff were great, helping me with everything I needed and being really nice. The hotel has a new concrete tennis court, but it is poorly designed; there isn’t enough space behind the baseline, making a proper game practically impossible. Reception arranged a private coach for me at €70 per hour, and the coach was excellent, though the price was very high. When I wanted to play on my own, only three old tennis balls were available, two of which had actual holes and were unusable. I asked for new balls, and they bought three new ones, which I appreciated. The racket available to borrow from reception had adhesive tape wrapped around the handle instead of a proper grip, showing that nobody cares about the quality of the equipment. I chose this hotel partly because of the gym, which looked decent in the photos, but the reality was disappointing: the only multi-gym machine was broken. Even after I tried to repair it myself and got it partially working, some cables were damaged and needed replacing, giving me the impression that nobody really cares about maintaining the equipment. That left just two dumbbells and one barbell, with very few weight plates available. The food quality was very poor; everything at the dessert buffet tasted as though it had been defrosted. The chicken and turkey were very dry, and the mashed potatoes seemed to be made from an instant mix rather than fresh potatoes. The cooking gave me the impression that the kitchen was staffed by temporary workers rather than experienced chefs. Overall, the hotel seems to prioritise quantity over quality.
