It's clear that the hotel's location is one of its strongest selling points, and I felt lucky to be staying there.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made a big difference to my experience.
I even had a stunning view of the Parthenon from my balcony, which was a real treat.
The cleanliness of my room was impressive, and I appreciated the attention to detail that went into maintaining such a high standard.

“Wouldn’t stay anywhere else.”
The location and service are the best, and you should book a table at the rooftop restaurant for a gorgeous view of the Acropolis. I would advise upgrading to a larger room.
“tutto bene”
Everything was fine.
“Mon adresse idéale à Athènes”
We enjoyed a double upgrade for my wife’s birthday: a one‑night stay (the last night of our Greek holiday) in a fully equipped family apartment on the second floor above the Gargareta brewery, with a wrap‑around balcony, a guest room, a study/wardrobe, a master bedroom, and a complete kitchen. During our second visit the staff were again very attentive, we dined on the excellent food from Gargareta, part of the same group as Hotel Hérodion, and the hotel arranged our early‑morning airport transfer together with a breakfast basket. No issues to report.
The view of the Acropolis was nice, but the room was only average. I also found a maggot in the fresh orange juice, which I didn’t like; the kitchen staff need to be more careful about such things.
“Short stay in Athens”
The location is great, right near everything, but a few staff members weren’t helpful.
