The lobby and breakfast lived up to expectations, and the spot right off the highway was handy. The room, however, was in shambles: the central AC was dead, so a portable unit was duct‑taped out the window; the fridge lacked a handle; the shower seat was ripped out with holes; lamp shades were broken, and you had to slam your shoulder against the door to open it. I had to go straight to the housekeeping room to find linens for the pull‑out couch, and when I asked for extra pillows, I was laughed at because none were available. The pool‑room key card didn’t work, so I had to queue at the front desk to get someone to swipe me in, and the pool smelled musty and looked a bit cloudy.

The facility was gorgeous and the staff were fantastic—everyone was cheerful and friendly, making the experience a delight.

My kids found some cheetos in the closet and on the pull‑out soda bed, and there was trash on the desk. A small trash can in the bathroom would have helped.

The room was spacious with a kitchen, but it wasn’t kept in good condition: broken fixtures, scotch tape on the ceiling from a prior party, a broken table, and scribbles on a chair cushion. The pool was shut after we used it once because of poor maintenance, which was very disappointing for our grandson.
