“One night layover at PDL”
The hostel sits right next to the airport, less than 10 minutes by car. Plenty of parking is available on a lot right by the coastline on rua Padre Fernando Vieira Gomes. The dining area is spacious and the kitchen comes with cutlery and plates. Official check‑in is only from 3‑5 pm, but the after‑hours check‑in worked fine. The toilet attached to the dorm room was broken – the chain that pulls the flapper was missing and the water intake seemed to be off. I stayed for one night in mid‑September and the room was too hot and stuffy to sleep comfortably with only a floor fan to blow some air around. There were plenty of mosquitoes inside. Jets start landing at the adjacent airport early in the morning.
