“Beat expectations”
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, and the bar stayed open late. It was a lot better than what I usually expect from Best Western. The bartender could use a bit more training.

The place is close to the tram and a 20‑minute walk to the arena, and the old building is lovely. Inside, though, it feels a little worn; the coffee and milk in the room only made enough for one cup each.

The spot was great, parking was secure and the breakfast was nice, but the building feels pretty old.

The room and beds were very comfortable. The staff were very polite and helpful. The staff tried to sort our problems. We lost lights and power in our room when we arrived and although the staff tried to fix it it was not sorted completely during our stay. We had power for about 30 mins when we arrived so informed staff. We went out and returned at 11.30pm, the lights stayed on for 5 mins then went out. We had to use the lights from our phones to use the bathroom and get into bed. We couldn’t have a hot drink or use the Tv either. Next morning we couldn’t have a hot drink in the room. We told staff and were given a refund for breakfast. But at breakfast there was very little hot food left and by then we were a bit fed up with everything and just accepted what was left. I think we should have more refunded for the standard we received which was disappointing and unacceptable. We were told that we could not be moved to another room as they were fully booked

The location was spot‑on. The building itself was a bit tired—old properties need a lot of upkeep, which is expensive, but there were plenty of cobwebs everywhere.
