“Only suitable for a short stay”
The front desk was manned by an Indonesian lady who spoke Malay fluently, no Indonesian accent, and was very kind, friendly and helpful. Because there’s no lift, she helped me get a ground‑floor room, and the other Indonesian staff—cleaners and crew—were also friendly and helpful. The desk stayed open 24 hours. A self‑laundry shop is just a few steps away; it’s the only one that feels safe at night among the many nearby. A mamak restaurant sits behind the hotel, and the streets behind it are quite shady and dark, with another row of buildings that have Speedmart 99 and a few less lively restaurants that open in the evening. I ended up ordering delivery food or taking a Grab car to Aeon Taman Equine (about RM10.00 per trip) instead of wandering the unknown, lonely streets. The area looks deserted at night except around the hotel, the Eco Shop (kedai RM2.60), the self‑laundry shop facing the main road, and the nearby restaurants. The MRT station is about a 6‑7 minute walk, but it took me 12‑15 minutes with luggage. Not recommended after dark because some streets are dark, lonely, and quiet, and you have to pass a trash house in a dark corner before seeing the MRT station. In the afternoon I took a Grab car (costing about RM10‑RM11 per trip) to get to the hotel because I didn’t want to climb at least two hills before setting on a flat road to reach the hotel under the hot, scorching sun. I’m a backpacker who stayed for 5 days and 4 nights to visit MAHA2026 and the Malaysia National Day Parade in Putrajaya. It’s a super budget hotel, but I paid about RM400 (including sustainability fees) for 4 nights. It isn’t cheap, but nobody ever came to clean the room, take out the trash, or change the towel during my stay. In the last two days I had to fork out money to buy extra towels. The air‑conditioner worked for the first hour, then went off and never turned on again. Even at night it was so hot without AC inside the room. There was no body soap, shower gel, or shampoo provided. The TV didn’t work at all. I also got uninvited visitors in the form of a centipede and a cockroach, all coming from under the front door.
