The website was so well written that I didn’t expect it to be so old. The hallway was dark and smelled bad. The food was colorful and nice, but the taste wasn’t very good; I’d prefer something more classic. The restaurant also needed music. Overall, it felt creepy.

The food and the hot spring were both very good.

The staff’s service and the fact that someone cleaned and disinfected the family bath each time someone finished using it were very good. I was staying in Beppu for 2 nights and 3 days, with the first night at a cheaper inn and the second night booked at a place I was looking forward to, headed by a person named Hayama. However, honestly, the quality of the food and the cleanliness were lower than other inns for the same price, and there were inns that were cheaper than Hayama’s but offered higher quality in every aspect. I’m sorry, but not all guests were satisfied, and it left me with a slight regret.

The meals were tasty and the open-air bath was great, but I wish they’d mentioned that table tennis costs extra.
