The tents were spaced apart from each other. There was a kids’ play area and the mattresses were genuinely comfy. The picnic table was dirty and unstable. There was no electricity in the tent at all. The toilet block was surrounded by a pond.

The layout and surroundings were lovely, and the bell tents and facilities were nice. A few things could use a cosmetic refresh.

There was no breakfast. The location requires a car or taxi. It was very clean and authentic. Most of the guests were families with children, so the kids could play together outdoors in a great atmosphere while the parents could relax.

The gates were locked for safety and the tents weren’t cold at all – a cheap stay for one night, locks on the tents 👍. However, the central area needed a marquee with electricity so drinks could be made without gas kettles on the BBQs; there were only three for all the tents, none covered, so in the rain there was nowhere to make a hot drink. Two of the three toilet doors didn’t shut, there was no lighting on the field, so going to the loo at night was tricky. Only two small coffee sachets were in a three‑man tent, and I expected camp beds, not just mattresses on the floor. No staff were seen at all. It was okay for one night but not what I expected from glamping.
