The experience at the campsite can vary depending on the guests’ “history” and the level of expectations. If you’ve been with the tent in the mountains before, it will feel luxurious: bed, mattress, blanket, pillow, stove in the room, easy access to toilet and shower, no worries about meal prep, sauna, fire pit. If you’re used only to hotels, with self‑heating or a bathroom in the room, it might seem challenging. You have to start the fire yourself, use the shared bathroom facilities (separate for men and women), and remember the Norwegian saying “there is no bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.” If all that feels too much, you can choose a bungalow instead of a tent (it has a bathroom and heating). We were at the intersection of these two worlds and chose a glamping‑style tent as an introduction to future mountain tent trips. The experience was very nice and we repeated it. The area and view are fabulous, the food is excellent (traditional, with many local products), the drinks are high quality, and the restaurant music perfectly supports the overall peaceful atmosphere. As a bonus, conversations with Mr. Razvan were a great pleasure; he has many stories to share.
