We stayed in this stunning apartment for two months and were pleasantly surprised by how wonderful the experience was. The owner and his family were amazing—extremely welcoming, friendly, and made us feel at home. They often brought homemade meals and treats, and we built a great relationship with them. They supplied everything we needed while respecting our privacy. The apartment itself was incredible for the price: a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a hot‑water shower, a large bedroom with a new mattress and remote fans, a living room, a study area, and a balcony. There was a separate entrance, and privacy was well maintained. We cooked every night and worked daily in the study area. Everything was brand new and beautifully designed. The location was quiet and peaceful, just a 7‑minute motorbike ride to the beach and main area. The garden and trees were full of birds and wildlife, a delightful view from our window. Neighbors were friendly and happy to have us. There was a menu to order food if we didn’t want to cook, and the mother made delicious meals—each around 300 Rps, very cheap compared to other places, and tasty! If we had stayed in Sri Lanka longer, we could easily live here for six months or a year. As two backpackers working online, our stay felt luxurious. We would highly recommend this apartment. Nothing else to add.

I recently stayed at a charming home stay in Welligama, and it was a delightful experience. As the villa’s first guest, I felt genuinely welcomed by the gracious hosts, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. The home stay itself was a hidden gem: clean, well‑maintained, and cozy. My room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and had all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. What set this place apart was the warm hospitality of the hosts, who were incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring I had everything I needed and offering helpful tips for exploring Welligama. Their genuine enthusiasm to create a wonderful experience for me, as their first guest, was truly heartwarming. The location was ideal, with easy access to Welligama’s beautiful beaches and other attractions. I enjoyed the tranquility of the surroundings while still being close to the town’s vibrant activities. No negatives.
