Perfect what was needed as it was close to the event I was attending. The only downside what the decor was very dated but ok for a 1 night stay

This hotel has been run down in expectation of either demolition or total rebuild / renovation. All that is open is a typical Scottish public house bar and 6 bedrooms. There is no restaurant or other food service, however the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the sheets were new, the towels fluffy and the water was hot and plentiful. Yes, ok, you have to bring your own food in, but there are 7 different takeaways and food shops within a 5 minute walk and I had a most enjoyable Chinese meal in my room. Clean and perfectly acceptable value for money for an overnight stay

The price was reasonable and the room was clean. Because the hotel sits atop a pub, the noise outside was loud; it was warm but I couldn’t open the window because cigarette smoke drifted in.

The hotel was close to the venue, but the facilities were terrible for the £100 per night, especially when I found a dildo in the kettle.

The location was great and the staff were excellent.
