“Very poor value for money. This was the most expensive accommodation I paid for during my entire trip, yet it was by far”

The hotel’s location was great and the staff were friendly, but there was a lack of equipment: when I asked for a hairdryer, the staff came back into my room to take it away without telling us. You’re not allowed to charge an electric scooter at the hotel unless you rent it from them, even though that option is twice the price. The rooms we received weren’t the ones we had originally booked, and it was noisy in the evenings and mornings because of the local businesses next to the laundry.

“We enjoyed our stay on Gili t but if I was to come back, I would stay somewhere else due to the dirt of the pool area.”

The bed was nice and comfortable, and the location was decent but a bit out of the way, so we had to bike around because walking was too far, which we didn’t mind too much. We couldn’t use the swimming pool because it was so dirty; there was actual rubbish and dirt floating in it, and the whole pool area looked very different in person than it did when I booked it.

A small, simple room in a cute hotel. The pool was more for show than for swimming, but being right in the middle of the island lets you walk leisurely to both sides. Breakfast was basic but enough.

“Gili T piękna, hotel słaby i lepiej omijać”

The family rooms (2 + 2) were centrally located in the middle of the island, giving easy access to every side (which might be a downside for lazy people). Shops, cafés, restaurants, and scooter rentals were close by. The breakfasts were scandalous: they charge 75 k per person, yet a café 100 m away offers a proper meal for that price. They only offer eggs or pancakes, plus tea or coffee, which is embarrassing and laughable in the dining room. Friends were surprised to receive a sugar packet wrapped in an omelette. Instead of apologizing, the staff were rude. Additionally, the “restaurant” had a cracked, leaking ceiling, white deposits on the cracked floor, a foul smell from the bathroom, no wardrobe or shelves for clothes, and the hotel was missing many things to be a 4‑star. The pool was tiny, basically just for a quick cool‑down, and the staff were not trustworthy at all—some were friendly, others had sour faces and were skeptical of tourists.

The location and shower pressure were good, but the staff were not very pleasant, the pool was dirty, and the bathroom needed improvement.
