I spent a lot of time deciding whether to write this review. Even before booking, as I usually do, I read past reviews and saw that when a negative review is posted, the manager shows little receptiveness to criticism and seems to struggle to absorb feedback that could improve service. Still, as a guest, I felt it was my right to share my experience. The booking indicated that check‑in could start at 12 pm. I had previously informed them that we would arrive between 3 pm and 4 pm. We reached the address listed in the ad around 3:30 pm. It took a few minutes to be attended to, and when the manager appeared she said she didn’t remember our reservation, even though I had contacted her via WhatsApp days before, even asking for a specific service in the city. She then asked us to wait because the address in the ad was not the actual lodging address but only the place where she received guests. She drove us to the real address, a few blocks away. When we arrived, we had to wait again in the car while she checked if the room was clean and ready. In total, from our arrival at the listed address to the room being released, we waited almost 50 minutes, even though check‑in was scheduled from 12 pm and we had said we would come between 3 pm and 4 pm. We were finally allowed to enter around 4:20 pm. What is called a “pousada” is much closer to a hostel or guesthouse. On arrival, the manager took photos of the room as a sort of inspection, sent them via WhatsApp, gave some instructions, and said that if we needed anything we could contact her.
