“The Riad is what people would dream about…”
The Riad looks even better than the photos: absolutely stunning, spacious, and can comfortably hold 11‑13 people. The property is only half a story, but the team managing it is amazing. Mohammed was on vacation but kept in touch before our stay; Hamzah has excellent local knowledge and is always willing to help. Khadija’s cooking is very tasty, and she is always very helpful. Her homemade Tajine and the varied breakfasts are worth trying; we never felt pressured to buy anything and it felt like a true home away from home. A special shout‑out to Rachid, who was practically on hand nearly 24‑7 and could not do enough; if I were a hotelier in Morocco or elsewhere, he would be a great addition. The location is very close to many spots and is much quieter than the square, which is a 15‑20 minute walk from the Riad. This traditional setting means you’ll encounter alleyways and local interactions, giving it a very local feel that enhances the experience. The souks near the Riad are quieter and better for pricing, with a couple of good spots nearby. The Riad includes a small plunge pool, enough to sit and relax, though the water is very, very cold. The Riad caters for everything, making it hard to leave for days. Minor issues: some shower areas need a bit of a scrub, and the pool temperature could be improved; these are very minor and didn’t detract from the experience.
