The host’s family was very friendly! The landlady helped me book train tickets and prepared a delicious Vietnamese‑style dinner. Mr. Pon was also very warm and enthusiastic, speaking excellent English! Their daughter and the little dogs were adorable. Staying here feels more like living by the Vietnamese coast than at a luxury hotel. The location is great and the beach is very accessible. The room is spacious and offers a beach view. It’s quiet at night, and I wake up to pleasant bird songs in the morning. The room door lock is a bit old‑fashioned, but I think a little oil would fix it.

“Loved the location”

I liked that it was close to the beach and that Mr Pon was very friendly when we met him. The bathroom was outside the room, with the toilet and shower outside the room and no hot water; I was worried about bugs in the toilet. The curtains didn’t close the window and door at the walkway very well, but it was fine for one night. Considering the price, you can’t expect much more.

The hosts were adorable, their daughters were too, and we were very well welcomed. The location is top. Everything was really great, we would just have liked mosquito nets for the beds.

“A rich experience”

The host was delightful. No one books a homestay at this price for luxury; they book it for the experience and richness it offers, which is what you’ll get here. Good conversation, hospitality, home‑cooked food and local knowledge—Pon offers it all and we are grateful for the experience he gave us. He also connected us with a fisherman who took us out for nighttime squid fishing and a taxi driver who took us to our next destination for far less than Grab prices. Thanks for our stay 😀 The bed in the double room was very hard 😅

“Wer einen günstigen Platz zum Schlafen in guter Lage sucht und Abstriche im Komfort in Kauf nimmt, ist hier richtig.”

The staff were helpful and the location is good, but the room was a nightmare: the so‑called “city view” was just a hallway window, no ventilation system meant a nasty smell lingered, and the whole night it was bright and sometimes noisy. The bathroom, which had no windows, was covered in extensive mold. The bed was dirty, and features like a bedside outlet, hair dryer, or TV remote were missing.
