The hotel was the best in Sicily; the staff were superb and made us feel at home, and the food was exceptional thanks to the Michelin‑star chef. It was my birthday, and I couldn’t ask for anything better. The room had very comfortable beds and was very spacious, with bathrobes and slippers provided. Nothing comes to mind.

The room was clean, the on‑site restaurant was a gem, and the staff were very pleasant, helpful, and even friendly before we arrived. A coffee machine was in the room, and flip‑flops and robes were supplied. The room was quite small, the street was noisy (garbage truck noise at night), parking was really very complicated, and it was hard to find the hotel.

The location was nice and central in the city, easy to get to Etna, and the service at the restaurant and reception was fantastic; the breakfast was really good. The room on the second floor was below all expectations: cheaply furnished with poor, cheap furniture that wasn’t even IKEA level, no pictures or decorations so it looked more like a prison cell, the bathroom was in disrepair with water damage around the mirrors and in the seams, the lighting was terrible with a large white light in the ceiling and no bedside lamps or proper bathroom light. The evening menu (11‑course tasting menu) was OK but not exceptional – it lacked the flavor you’d expect at a Michelin level. The city was a bit dull, not comparable to Taormina or Noto.

The ambiance was great, the gourmet breakfast excellent, the room small but comfortable. The restaurant served memorable food and wine, we had a surprise menu with a matching wine pairing and the service was excellent. It fully lived up to the Michelin star, a great experience. The bathroom was in dire need of an overhaul; much of the kit needs to be redone, the showerhead replaced, and overall, everything needs to be redone due to moisture.
