The ambiance before the trees were cut was great, but I was annoyed by the insistence on paying for the full number of days I booked with no option to change.

I was pleasantly surprised when the staff upgraded me to a better room than the one I had booked, and the staff themselves were lovely. The only downside was the pool, which felt really small compared to how it looked in the pictures.

The pool was the size of a jacuzzi.

I stayed four nights to explore the area, and they upgraded me straight away to a room with a private bathroom. It was tiny but had everything I needed. The bed was decent, the shower had good pressure, breakfast was simple but fine. Wi‑Fi was a bit hit‑and‑miss – lucky you get it working. If you need to work online, maybe look elsewhere. The photos are out of date and there's no hammock area outside like the pictures show.
