“Paradise found”
The staff were fantastic and the property itself was wonderful, so we had a great time overall, but the bed wasn’t really comfortable.

I loved the location on the private island and the adults‑only vibe, but we had to book far in advance and the only rooms left were the lowest category, so we missed out on the premium bungalows that would have offered a better beach feel and hammocks. The room we got was spacious, the bed was a nice size, and the air‑con worked well on hot days. The outdoor shower was fine, though the water pressure was very light – the lightest I’ve seen at any resort. Ferry drivers were lovely and Illy (I think that’s the name) was incredible in her customer service, genuinely caring. The bikes were a nice touch, but you could see the higher‑spec rooms had well‑kept seats while the beach bungalow’s seats were ripped and battered. Day showers were a nice touch for guests with a bit of time before departure. However, the bungalow type we stayed in was advertised as beachfront but actually had shrubs covering the front, no view from the lower loungers, and the sand under the loungers was hard and rocky, not pleasant. The lagoon was very murky and snorkeling was only average at best. Staff quality was hit and miss; some seemed reluctant and unhelpful, which felt disappointing given the high price. When we checked out, they had missed a dinner bill, and we had to point it out. They worked hard to locate it and asked us repeatedly what we’d ordered, and it would have been nice if they had offered a discount as a goodwill gesture. They also charged a fee meant for another room to ours, and they got our departure time and flight wrong even though I’d submitted the details beforehand and they had confirmed them. Our bags were sent to the airport without us and we had to retrieve them. I’d advise guests to double‑check bills and arrangements. The restaurant was good one day (filet steak) but the next day the same steak had so much gristle I had to spit out half of it. We also had lunch there and were served a burger that was still bleeding; when I asked for it to be cooked more, the lady said “they had to start that all over just for you,” which felt extremely distasteful.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was lovely, so it was relaxing with few people around. The villa felt a bit dated, the cleaning wasn’t great, and the bikes were old and didn’t work well, which was a shame for the cost. We also got a gastro bug on the last day, as did a few other guests, which was unfortunate. The staff were still lovely, though.

The staff were amazing, and having bikes and kayaks available was a huge plus.
