“Une adresse a ne pas manquer à Bentota”

The place was a fresh, small resort tucked in a leafy setting, super quiet and with a gorgeous, well‑maintained pool. The rooms offered great comfort and bedding, and everything was spotless. The shower water pressure was nice, which I appreciated. Breakfast was hearty and excellent, and you could also order dinner, which was delicious. The staff were very helpful and friendly, with many little touches that made the stay even better.

A new, spotless and beautifully designed spot surrounded by a large green garden and a pool. The rooms are set up to European standards, paying attention to small details that other places often skip. Dana and his family are friendly, attentive and eager to help. There’s tasty, varied breakfast and, if you wish, dinner prepared fresh by Dana’s father. The property sits in a very quiet area, yet you’re only about 15‑20 minutes from the calm Bentota Beach. Dana also arranges and joins guests on excursions if needed. For us, staying here was a lovely wrap‑up to our three‑week Sri Lanka trip, and it was a bonus that Dana speaks German. We definitely recommend this place!

The staff were friendly, and the breakfast, gelato, shampoo and other refills were plentiful. Lots of towels, good sheets plus a blanket, beach towels, a clean pool, an inner courtyard with loungers and a hammock, and parking on a closed lot. Two charming Labradors and a cat were also there. However, there was practically no daylight in the rooms, so we had to turn on the lamp during the day. The electrical voltage was unstable, with flickering lights. The air‑conditioning was weak. There was a complete lack of water for more than 12 hours, and the next day the tap water turned brown. The rooms had inconsistent amenities – one had a clothes dryer, another did not.

“Sehr gepflegte Anlage”

You feel like you’re in paradise. Dana Villa is a beautiful, clean property with a great pool. The rooms are a good size and have everything you need. The food is superb, and the host Dana and his team are super nice and attentive.
