“Most horrible place I have ever found on Booking.”

The neighbourhood was unsafe, as the receptionist said, and the rooms were open to the street with no security and no key. Strangers could just walk in. The reception was in another building. I was harassed by two guys on the street, and my roommates were too. It felt very gloomy and unsafe. After dinner my stuff was taken from my bed and it was given to someone else. A man walked into the ladies’ dorm because his backpack was stored there. Everyone who was there when I arrived only stayed one night and then left for another hostel. I met people who had fled from this hostel in my other stay. It’s an abomination that Booking allows this hostel on its platform.

It’s close to the beach and the price is good. The rooms are dirty, the staff don’t care or clean them, the beds are awful so you can feel the springs. There’s no Wi‑Fi, no kitchen, no common area, and even basic things like toilet paper aren’t provided.

“Buon rapporto qualità-prezzo.”

We liked the room: small but private for me and my five friends, with an ensuite bathroom and air‑conditioning. Someone was always at reception day and night, although I’d rather not disturb them after a certain hour because they’re not very helpful. The area was quiet and a few minutes’ walk away from many restaurants and a large shopping center. Near the hostel there are two nice spots: one for smoking shisha and playing board games for a relaxed evening, and another for cheap beer and dancing. The location listed on Booking is wrong on Google Maps. Fortunately, before arriving in town I had looked at reviews and found the right place by searching “Mandarin,” and all the taxis already knew it. One night, after returning to the hostel, the bathroom had no water and reception couldn’t find another bathroom for us to use. The room wasn’t spotless and the beds were hard.

I only paid 6 euros, so I didn’t expect much more. I stayed just a few hours to rest before heading to the airport, which was fine. The room was tiny, fitting 6 beds but with no real space for everyone. There was no Wi‑Fi and one of the outlets didn’t work, yet it was clean. I wouldn’t stay a full night here; if you’re young, don’t mind the snoring and lack of privacy, it’s your place 🤣 The shower was just enough to freshen up.

“Porażka”

At least the sheets were clean. When I arrived, three rooms were vacant but none had been cleaned. The staff was terrible: I got there at 1 a.m., and even though other rooms were free, the owner started pounding on the door at 4 a.m. I was alone and scared to open it, only to find other girls had come in, and he wouldn’t let me use the key for the other free rooms. Later he took my key, and the next night I couldn’t even get into my room until I begged for it. Once you’ve paid, they treat you like an animal, with zero respect or courtesy. The place doesn’t match the photos, has mold in the bathroom, and the floor is warped.
