The spa setting was nice, but the price of the yurt did not include the spa. The showers and toilets were inside the spa and the yurt, and there was no water in the yurt.

The place sits right in the woods, which is great, but the nearby road keeps it a bit noisy. The eco vibe is cool, yet a lot of things still need fixing – the in‑room bathroom is basically a chemical tank you can only use in an emergency, and showers are only in the main building. The upper‑floor beds feel comfy, but the ceiling is low and the sofa bed is a nightmare. All that for a price that feels steep for what you get.

The concept sounded solid, but the execution was a disaster. Towels were filthy, the grill was a mess, and the staff seemed totally untrained. On top of that, the spa only opens at 11:00 – the same time you’re checking out – and closes at 5 pm, so you can’t even touch it if you’re staying just one night.

It was way too expensive for what it offered. The price would have made sense if the spa was included, but you had to shell out an extra $60 per person just to use it. The staff were barely friendly, and the yurt smelled like ammonia – the dry toilets were clearly not kept clean. Shameful experience.

The cabin was gorgeous, fully equipped and super comfy. It’s in a quiet spot close to Taillon National Park, and the welcome was warm. The shared barbecue area and brazier were a treat, and the riverfront spa was amazing, though it wasn’t part of the stay price. Just remember the check‑in is after 5 pm.
