“Parking lot filled with construction trucks and trailers.”
It was next to an event I was attending at the Holiday Inn, and because I couldn’t justify paying $190 for a single night, I chose this hotel. The price difference was the only good thing about the stay. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The front desk denied my request for a ground‑floor room, hesitated, and finally gave me one. The air conditioning never worked; when I called the front desk to fix it, the man came and fiddled with the controls, but it started, then shut off again and never came back on. Breakfast was listed as served, but there was absolutely nothing—no coffee cups, no coffee, no food at all. The front desk told me this is a transient hotel, not a long‑term stay hotel, and that they have problems with guests bringing pets and cooking in the room. This hotel is everything bad about greedy minority‑owned hotels hiding under a well‑known name. They were completely uncaring and unmoved about the lack of air conditioning, and they figured I wouldn’t return, which they proved right.
