The location was good and the balcony offered a beautiful view of the canal. There was no kettle. I was able to use the guestroom fridge at night.

The hosts were really friendly. The balcony room was comfortable (the bed was a little firm). The flatscreen TV had Netflix, the wet‑style bathroom was clean, functional and had an adequate supply of hot water. The location was nice and mostly quiet. Pets were welcome with no extra charge. Usually it’s quiet, but on the first morning they didn’t tell me that a room on the same floor was under construction… which meant loud banging, drilling and grinding from an early hour, which was most disturbing. It was an isolated incident, but a heads‑up would have been nice. I’ve stayed here many times before, and this was the first time I ever had a complaint.

The front rooms have small balconies and look freshly renovated compared to my last visit, making them even better value. They’re comfortable, clean, and surprisingly quiet even though they face the road. The beds are medium‑soft (5/10 on a hardness scale), the A/C works, there’s a flatscreen TV with Netflix, and the private bathroom has decent hot water, though the reservoir limits it. The family‑owned, friendly staff speak little English. The hotel sits near many local restaurants, the riverside, a Winmart, a Mixue ice‑cream shop, cafés, and a nice little river inlet canal. The only downside is that the upper floors are only reachable by stairs, and the glass pane above the door is a nuisance at night because hall lighting spills into the room; guests often leave the lights on without realizing it.

The spot is great, the room is large with a terrace, the owners are friendly, and the price is good. The building’s noise carries up the stairs; I could hear the TV, music, and family gatherings from the first floor downstairs, and the early‑morning hours weren’t ideal.

I extended my stay, so the place clearly deserves a longer visit.
