The location was extremely nice, close to hiking trails, and the view of Villach and the lake was wonderful. At arrival a very polite, English‑speaking lady greeted us and helped plan the rest of our day by suggesting a great hike. I didn’t like that at checkout they tried to charge me for the stay, even though it had already been prepaid.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in the mountains, although only for one night. The setting is simply dreamy—ideal as a base for many hikes and activities in the area. The view of the lake was especially impressive, letting you just sit back and enjoy it. The hotel itself is very beautiful, cozy, and well‑maintained, and you feel comfortable immediately. The quiet location and the stunning landscape make the stay something special. Breakfast was very good, and we also dined at the restaurant for dinner—everything tasted great. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back.

The hotel sits 400 m higher than the main valley, so in summer the air is cleaner and cooler than lower down. The view from both the terrace and the rooms is stunning, overlooking the entire valley. It’s a great base for hikes or bike rides along the Alpe‑Adria trail, the Dobretsch National Park, or around the lakes, and it’s close to Slovenia and Tarvisio. The dinner menu offers few meat options, and in the room the bathroom/shower is split by a wall.
