The spot is in a great location and they let me check in early, which I appreciated. They have a dedicated bag storage room and the price is very good. The building itself is very run down and needs refurbishment; many reviews mention cleanliness issues, but I found the hostel itself very clean and the cleaning staff did a fantastic job every day. It still feels dirty because the property is old and not well maintained, and the pictures they show are outdated. I did see some work being done in the common areas. The staff were nice, but I had minor communication problems in English. Overall, I had a good time.

I went during the Kerala festival and it felt like a nonstop party—absolutely top. I met a bunch of new friends and the government‑run restaurant nearby was delicious. The only downside is there’s no hot shower, but that’s pretty standard everywhere.
