The staff were very friendly and there was a lockable bike rack. The hotel sits on the main approach to Zurich Airport, so the noise level was high. The food didn’t match the price; the porcini mushroom al la crème used a packet sauce.

A beautiful spot right on the Swiss border. The family room contains two large bedrooms. The breakfast was very modest, and there was no English communication.

The place is gorgeous for nature lovers. I appreciated that on the first day, even though we were the only two in that huge area, they served us breakfast with everything. Aura, who attended us, was delightful, and the restaurant food was excellent.

I was looking for a typical spot on the Swiss border to continue our return trip to Italy the next day. I found exactly what I wanted: a charming place that feels ancient. The room was very large and clean. Along the stairs there were many old countryside relics, and the exterior wall covered in ivy is stunning. Two things I honestly didn’t like: the third bed was a folding cot that was very uncomfortable for my daughter, and it was quite noisy. Our real disappointment was the dinner price! I’ll say that we often dine in Germany, and we’ve never paid €34.00 for a Wiener schnitzel; I’d say the price is truly high—normally such a dish costs between €18 and €22 even in central Munich. Maybe Swiss price influence? Otherwise I can’t explain this.
