“Die Unterkunft existiert nicht!”
The accommodation no longer exists; upon arrival we learned it was gone, and other guests had the same issue. A new, very expensive camp now occupies the spot, and the staff seem unfriendly and unmotivated.
“Veel te duur voor wat je krijgt en onjuiste informatie over de kamers”
The location is amazing. Absolutely too expensive and the only place in all Botswana that doesn't include breakfast. Dinner is ridiculously pricey – $35 for a plate of spaghetti? They take advantage of you by offering nothing else. Also, I booked a room as described but received a tent. When I complained, I wasn’t taken seriously and no friendly solution was offered; I was treated poorly. This stay really needs to improve customer service, friendliness, and take responsibility instead of passing the buck.
The friendly staff trying to make the best of the situation. 3 staff members stayed with the ladies at the campsite till 10:00 pm while the men went to recover the vechicle. Sharing stories around the fire relieved the stress of the ladies. First of all the co-ordinates on your booking form were incorrect with the result that our vechicle got stuck in mud. We checked with Nedine beforehand regarding accessibility. Arriving at the camp, the booking was given through incorrectly. Only 1 tent was prepared in stead of 2. The description of the accommodationon booking was totally misleading."room with private bathroom ". The staff did their best pitching and preparing another tent on the same plot. In the end we shared the plot and ablutions, but we were charged the full price for 2 "double rooms ( which were tents) with private bathrooms" (a separate standing ablution structure). We were not informed that the next morning, there would be no water before 8:30; therefore no shower, no flushing the toilet. Despite phoning and sending w/apps to Nedine, we received no call back or answer
“Il ne faut pas reserver. Risque de perdre son avance”
That establishment—under that name—no longer exists. It was taken over by another owner, Kwai Explorer Camp, which doesn't work with us. So at arrival we had to switch to a more expensive lodge, and we were three groups in that situation. I reported it, but the page remains active. Otherwise the new place is great!
Location right on the riverbank. Accommodation in a tent with a bed. Shower and toilet right next to the campsite. Friendly staff cook great food and organize trips.
